Caroline is a developmental psychologist at the School of Psychology, University of Galway. Her programme of research focuses on child/adolescent health and wellbeing, the social context of health and wellbeing and the role of family, and school and peer support in fostering health & wellbeing. She is a co-investigator on YOULEAD, a youth mental health leadership doctoral training programme and a Co-Director of the PhD in Child & Youth Research at the University of Galway. She has secured research funding from the Health Research Board, Rethink Ireland, Safefood, Economic, Social Research Council (UK), Irish Heart Foundation and Irish Research Council.
Angeline, is a paediatric psychologist and postdoctoral researcher on the HRB/HRCI funded Pathways programme of research. Alongside the Pathways team of researchers and clinical partners including CF Ireland, her research work focuses on self-management and healthcare transition readiness in young adults living with Cystic Fibrosis. Angeline has previously worked with young adults with chronic pain in the development and evaluation of a pain-management intervention as part of her doctoral research. Her research interests include youth mental health, self-management of long-term conditions, intervention development and public and patient involvement in research.
Lauren is a MSc in Health Psychology Graduand from University of Galway, currently undergoing research focusing on self-management and healthcare transition readiness in young adults living with Cystic Fibrosis under the supervision of Dr Caroline Heary and Dr Angeline Traynor. Lauren currently works in the area of early childhood and child developement while completing her MSc.
